A Seat for Everyone on Christmas Day.

Now that the dust has settled and the dishes have been put away, I find myself still carrying the feeling of this year’s Bounty of Bethlehem Christmas Dinner. As I reflect on what truly felt like a hometown Christmas miracle, I am filled with gratitude for the many people who came together to make it possible.
This year’s dinner marked the 43rd time our community gathered around a shared table through Bounty of Bethlehem. Guided by the belief that there is a seat for everyone, 1,200 meals were prepared and shared through dine-in service, take-out meals, and deliveries, including meals provided to civil servants working on Christmas Day.
None of this would have happened without the incredible commitment of our volunteers. More than 390 individuals gave over 1,100 hours during Christmas week, stepping into roles large and small to ensure the day ran smoothly. From the kitchen teams preparing homemade meals with care, to volunteers serving in the dining hall, managing drive-up service, delivering meals, and keeping our spaces clean and welcoming, each contribution mattered.
I also want to express deep appreciation for the handful of skilled individuals who support this work quietly and consistently behind the scenes. Months before Christmas arrives, they are already planning and coordinating logistics, securing resources, raising awareness, and promoting every aspect of the event so that volunteers, the media, and the public are fully informed every step of the way. Their leadership, experience, and steady commitment provide the foundation that allows hundreds of volunteers to step in and serve with confidence. This event would not be possible without their dedication.
We are equally grateful to the many individuals, churches, businesses, and community partners who donated food, supplies, and financial support. These gifts ensured that every meal was prepared with quality and intention and allowed us to continue this meaningful tradition. Your generosity made a lasting impact.
What continues to stand out to me each year is not just the work that happens on Christmas Day, but the spirit behind it. Bounty of Bethlehem reflects what is possible when people come together with a shared purpose and a willingness to serve. The sense of welcome, connection, and care felt throughout the planning process and on Christmas Day is something I am proud to be part of.
As we reflect on this year’s impact, we are already looking ahead with excitement. Planning for the 44th Annual Bounty of Bethlehem Christmas Dinner in 2026 is underway, and we are energized by the opportunity to build on this tradition once again. Thank you for your continued support, your generosity, and your belief in what this community can accomplish together.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Chris Wilson
